In an effort to help those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, Centretown Community Health Centre held a fundraiser in which our staff raised over $500 for the Red Cross and Médecins Sans Frontières. Centretown CHC’s team of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, health promoters, community workers, and dietitians is available to assist Canadian citizens, permanent residents, landed immigrants, and others returning to Ontario from Haiti. To access our medical services, call 613-233-4697 and speak to a medical receptionist. CCHC staff can also help you apply for an Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card, provide short-term crisis counselling, and refer you to resources to meet basic needs. Please call or drop in. For those who are returning from Haiti, please visit: health.gov.on.ca/en/news/bulletin/2010/haiti_travel.aspx for more information. |
