City-wide Programming and Services

Although most of what we offer is reserved to those who live or work in Centretown, the Glebe and Old Ottawa South, some of our programs are open to anyone living in the Ottawa region.

Here are our programs that are currently accepting participants city-wide:

Homeless Program

Support for homeless and street involved people by providing a shower service, assistance obtaining a health card, needle exchange, and safer inhalation.

Gay Zone

Gay Zone provides a wide range of programs and services for gay, bi, transmen and other men who have sex with men. These include  health promotion, screening for sexually transmitted infections, anonymous HIV testing, Hepatitis A&B vaccinations and a Queer Youth Group. Gay Zone is currently open every Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

GLBTTQ Youth Mental Health Counseling

Support and counseling for gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, two spirit and questioning youth from 12 to 25 years of age and their families. Services are available to anyone living in Ottawa. Call our Centre to make an appointment.

Lifestyle Enrichment for Senior Adults (LESA): Substance abuse and gambling services

This free and confidential program is geared to men and women 55+ in the city of Ottawa. Counselors can meet participants in their home, in one of our satellite offices or at the Centre. Visit the LESA page for more information.

Community Laundry Co-op

The Co-op provides accessible, affordable, environmentally friendly laundry services. Self-service laundry services are available to members at the cost of for 1$ per load. Members also provide commercial laundry services for clients in the community. Visit their website for more information.

Ottawa Good Food Box

This is a city-wide program coordinated by our centre. Customers can purchase a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables at wholesale prices by placing monthly orders. The box is available in 3 sizes: $10, $15, and $20. Emphasis is placed on buying seasonal produce that’s grown as close to home as possible. Options Counseling

Pregnant? Nonjudgmental counselors help you explore options in an open and caring environment. Call our Centre to make an appointment. Available to anyone.

Anonymous HIV Testing and Counseling

This anonymous and rapid 60 second test provides clients with HIV results on the same visit.  Follow-up support and counseling are available.  Drop in anytime between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
