Individual, Couple, and Group Counselling

We offer individual, couple and group counselling for those dealing with personal, emotional, or mental health issues. Services are offered at our Centre, in our community, and in clients’ homes. They are available to residents of Old Ottawa South, the Glebe, and Centretown.

Social Support Walk-in

Counsellors provide support when urgent personal or social problems happen. We also provide clients with referrals to various programs to help assist low-income individuals and families.

Options Counselling

Pregnant? Non-judgmental counsellors help you explore options in an open and caring environment. Call our Centre to make an appointment. Available to anyone.

GLBTTQ Youth Mental Health Counselling

Support and counselling for gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, two spirit and questioning youth from 12 to 25 years of age and their families. Services are available to anyone living in Ottawa. Call our Centre to make an appointment.

Settlement Counselling

Newcomers to Canada can talk to a settlement counsellor to receive help and advice. Settlement counsellors from the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services (OCISO) provide answers to questions about immigration, housing, employment, education, economic and social needs, and family issues. Services in: English, Persian, Farsi, and Dari. Check our calendar for dates.

Nutrition Counselling

Individuals can meet with a dietitian to talk about nutrition issues like food budgeting, body image, weight management and children’s nutrition. Discover how to feel good and stay healthy. Call our Centre to book an appointment.

Home Management Counselling

Individuals learn how to establish a housekeeping routine, develop a budget, manage your time, and solve household problems. Call our Centre to book an appointment.

Lifestyle Enrichment for Senior Adults (LESA): Substance abuse and gambling services

This free and confidential program is geared to men and women 55+ in the city of Ottawa. Counsellors can meet participants in their home, in one of our satellite offices or at the Centre. Visit the LESA page for more information.

Group Programming

A wide range of programs such as Anger and Assertiveness, Happiness Group, and Reaching in, Reaching out, are offered in English throughout the year. Check our calendar for program descriptions, dates and registration details. Registration is required.
