Homeless Program

Support for homeless and street involved people by providing a shower service, assistance obtaining a health card.

Social Support Walk-in

Counselors provide support when urgent personal or social problems happen. We also provide clients with referrals to various programs to help assist low-income individuals and families.

Health Services and Primary Care

Our medical clinic is staffed with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team so that family physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, outreach workers, social workers, dietitians and others can collaborate to provide medical services to registered clients. Working together, this team responds to the factors that impact the health and wellbeing of clients. They ensure that clients receive the best possible care.

Anonymous HIV Testing and Counselling

This anonymous and rapid test provides clients with HIV results on the same visit.  Follow-up support and counselling are available.  Drop in anytime between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Needle Exchange and Safer Inhalation

Access to harm reduction equipment, health education, and referrals to prevent the spread of communicable diseases and to minimize the risks associated with substance use.  Drop in anytime between 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Free Dental Screening Drop-in

People of all ages can access free dental screenings services including dental health information, fluoride varnish applications, and Healthy Smiles Ontario enrolment. Check our calendar for dates. Drop-in services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Chiropody

Service for a wide range of medical problems that affect the foot and lower limb.  Call Health Services and Primary Care to see if you qualify for this service.

Voicemail Program

Many people use voicemail to stay in contact with friends, family, or to look for a job or a place to live. Even if you don’t have a phone, you can obtain a personal voicemail number at a low cost of 20$ for three months of service. Drop in anytime between 9:00 am – 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Individual, Couple, and Group Counselling

We offer individual, couple and group counselling for those dealing with personal, emotional, or mental health issues. Services are offered at our Centre, in our community, and in clients’ homes. They are available to residents of Old Ottawa South, the Glebe, and Centretown.
