Good Food Box Packer
Purpose: As a member of the Ottawa Good Food Box team of volunteers, the
Good Food Box Packer packs Good Food Boxes once a month for delivery to
neighborhood sites.
Duties:
- Works with a team of volunteers to sort fruits and vegetables into individual orders
- Handles food gently and hygienically, and arrange in boxes for maximum appeal
- Assists with warehouse set-up and clean-up
- Other duties may include washing, moving, loading and helping to deliver boxes
Qualifications:
- Able to commit 4-5 hours per month
- Comfortable working as part of a team of volunteers in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable
- Physically able to bend and do light lifting (10-15 lbs) for 4-5 hours
- General interest in food, health and community is an asset

Timeframe: The Third Tuesday morning each month (9:00 am to 1pm)

Reporting Relationship: Good Food Box packers report to the Program Coordinator.
