Mindfulness is a skill that is useful for many aspects of our lives and teaches us to be engaged with the present  moment in all that comes our way. M.A.S.T is a 4-week introduction to different mindfulness practices that help us to surf the waves of overwhelming emotions. Get information and concrete tools to develop greater emotional stability in daily life.  All  participants are required to attend an intake session at 1pm on March 7.

Services by Appointment

We offer a range of short- and medium-term counselling options for individuals and couples living in Centretown, Old Ottawa South and the Glebe. Our services are available in English, French, Arabic and Hebrew. We prioritize individuals without private insurance and those living with limited resources. Please note that wait time for services can vary.

Please call 233-4443 x 2109 to inquire about our services. An intake worker will call you to discuss your counselling needs and available resources.

Counselling appointments are available during regular business hours from Monday-Friday, and some appointments outside of these hours may be available upon request.

**Please note that due to centre renovations, our wait times for counselling may be longer than usual.

A confidential program geared to adults 55+. Counsellors meet participants at the Centre, at one of our satellite offices or in their home.

Individual counselling with the LESA program is complemented by therapeutic support groups and a recreation therapy program.

LESA Recreation Outings
Social events and outings to interesting places in the community, including physical activities to support active living.

LESA Substance Support Group
A mixed gender, substance support group. Develop skills and an understanding of yourself to make positive changes.

LESA Learning Series
Understand why you use substances and find out information about addictions and harm reduction.

LESA Women's Support Group
A support group for women concerned about use or misuse of substances. Develop skills and an understanding of yourself to make positive changes.

LESA Gambling Support & Education Group
Learn how gambling & problem gambling impact our lives and develop skills to gain back control.

 

Learn strategies and get support to help you on your journey to quit smoking. Both group and individual support is offered. In English and French.
