About the Role

The Centretown Community Health Centre (CCHC) is a highly active non-profit, multi-service Community Health Centre whose programs and services provide access and support to communities in Centretown, the Glebe, and Old Ottawa South. Serving nearly 16,000 residents, the CCHC pays a particular attention to vulnerable groups including the senior population, the LGBTQ2S+ community, those affected by mental illness and addictions, the homeless, and newcomers to Canada. Formed in 1969, the Centre’s Services include a full range of community services delivered by a diverse team of professionals which includes doctors, nurses, social workers, counsellors, dietitians, community developers, health promoters, and outreach workers. At this important juncture, CCHC is continuing to ensure ongoing development, service delivery, and evaluation of operations within the framework of their overall philosophy and strategic direction and is looking to do so under the leadership of a new Director, Corporate Services.

The Director, Corporate Services is responsible for all aspects of the Centre’s human resources management (HR), information technology (IT) and information management (IM), finance, communications, health and safety, property management, and the privacy office. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director provides leadership in articulating, developing, and implementing strategies, frameworks, and approaches to optimize information technology and cyber-security, promote modern human resources management practices, lead health and safety, direct strategic internal communications and leverage information management. The incumbent provides key advice to the Executive Director and Management Team in these areas of responsibility and demonstrates CCHC’s Core values in their leadership to support its commitment to health equity.

As the Ideal Candidate, you have demonstrated skills in project management, including financial and human resources management, as well as leading and integrating diverse teams. A demonstrated strategic thinker, you have knowledge and progressive experience in information technology including data management and privacy, information management /client tracking systems, and leading policies and process development. You are known for your excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple demands. You have strong critical analysis, problem solving, and leadership skills with excellent interpersonal communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.

To qualify for this position, you bring a minimum of five (5) years’ management experience in administrative services, including supervision of staff - preferably within a multi-disciplinary team in a health care or social services setting. You have experience leading change management in a transformational environment as well as practical project management experience. You have a sound knowledge of financial management systems with experience managing medium to large budgets within a multi-funded environment. The ability to communicate in both official languages (oral and written) is required.
