Press release For immediate release

July 26, 2021 (Ottawa)—Centretown Community Health Centre is pleased to announce that Michelle Hurtubise will become our new executive director on September 7. Michelle follows our previous executive director, Simone Thibault, who retired a few weeks ago. We are grateful to Simone for her 14 years of leadership.

After a search during the past several months, we’re thrilled that Michelle has accepted the Executive Director position.

Michelle is currently the executive director at Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre. She knows the local issues and already has relationships with many key funders and partners. Michelle has a proven track record of advocating on behalf of LGBT2SQ+ people, Francophones, immigrants and newcomers, individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and individuals with mental health and addictions issues.

Michelle brings her strong community and equity values into her work, volunteerism, and advocacy. These values lead to action and change beyond the organization and throughout the system. We’re excited to welcome Michelle to Centretown Community Health Centre.

Michelle Hurtubise brings more than 30 years of experience working with community-based health and social services.
